DR. RETWIK PARUI
I completed my Ph.D. in Chemistry at IIT Guwahati under the guidance of Professor. Parameswar K. Iyer, where I explored the design and development of heteroatom-embedded organic luminogens and how their condensed-state properties could be tuned for various applications. Currently, I am a Research Associate with Prof. A. Ajayaghosh at Department of Chemistry, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, pursuing my research in developing advanced organic materials for energy and environmental applications. DHODI AYYAPPA AYYALU
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at C. Kandaswamy Naidu College for Men (2018–2021), followed by a Master’s in Chemistry at Government Arts College for Men, Chennai (2021–2023). After my postgraduation, I interned at Kemin Industries, Chennai, where I gained hands-on experience in industrial chemistry. In July 2024, I began my Ph.D. at SRM Institute of Science and Technology under the supervision of Prof. Ayyappanpillai Ajayaghosh. My current research focuses on the design and exploration of stimuli-responsive supramolecular systems for advanced functional applications.
Hobbies: Cycling, Reading Comic Books
AYANA SUNNY
After completing my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from St. Teresa's College, Ernakulam, in 2022, I went on to earn a Master's from Stella Maris College, Chennai, in 2024. During my postgraduation, I had the opportunity to explore polymer materials during an internship at Mahatma Gandhi University under the guidance of Dr. Aneesa P. I also pursued a project in supramolecular materials at JNCASR, Bengaluru, under Prof. Subi J. George’s mentorship—an experience that deepened my interest in this dynamic field. Currently, I'm engaged in research on functional supramolecular materials with Prof. A. Ajayaghosh at SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
Hobbies: Singing, Reading.

AKSA MARIYAM ABRAHAM
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 2017 from Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, followed by a Master’s degree from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, in 2019. I undertook a research internship with Dr. Jeh Jeng Wang at Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan. In 2021, I joined CSIR-NIIST, working on unnatural nucleotide synthesis. After a brief stint in pharmaceutical R&D focusing on Amifampridine, I returned to CSIR-NIIST. Currently, under Prof. A. Ajayaghosh, I am involved in research on functional supramolecular materials.
Hobbies: Cooking, Baking.

GIRISANKAR SURESH
I have completed my masters in chemistry in 2023 from St Michael’s College Cherthala under University of Kerala. Since then I have been working as a project intern for a year at Department of Chemistry, University of Kerala, Kariavattom campus, Trivandrum. I have worked under the guidance of Prof. SMA Shibli in the field of material development and energy conversion. As of July 3rd 2025, I have joined SRM Institute of Science and Technology to pursue my Ph.D. degree under the guidance of Prof. Ayyappanpillai Ajayaghosh in Covalent Organic Frameworks.
Hobbies: I enjoy communicating science and playing chess.

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from St. Joseph's College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Cuddalore, and a Master’s in Chemistry from Stella Maris College, Chennai, graduating in 2025. During this academic journey, I gained valuable hands-on experience through internships at Solara Active Pharma Sciences Limited and Neoscience Labs Private Limited, where I focused on quality control and analytical operations—strengthening my understanding of pharmaceutical and industrial chemistry. I also had the opportunity to undertake a research project at CSIR–CLRI under the mentorship of Dr. Ganesh Shanmugam. Currently, I’m pursuing research under the guidance of Prof. A. Ajayaghosh.

VALENTIN MALAFOSSE
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Process Engineering in 2024 at CPE Lyon, an engineering school in France. I am currently on a gap year between my first and second year of Master’s studies at the same institution. As part of this gap year, I am currently undertaking a research internship at Soft Materials Laboratory, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur campus, Chennai, under the supervision of Prof. A. Ajayaghosh.
